Hey whatsup, my name is Sam Goodman. I was born in Fort Bragg, California in 1998 to a hippy Gynecologist father and a flight attendant mother. I grew up around a lot of musical culture, all family members played an instrument. I picked up the guitar when I was nearly 6 and have always had a mad passion for music. I wrote my first rap verse when I was 8 but stopped for a long time because my vocabulary wasn’t really that advanced. All my life I was forced into perfect English. My father was huge on this and it really got to me especially when really everything I said was incorrect. Talk about walking on egg shells. Anyway, I started crafting lyrics together again at around age 14 and got more into rapping at 15. For my high school years I attended a charter school in Davis, Ca but was sent away to wilderness rehab from a misdeamor arrest cannabis possession as a minor, and an identity theft felony. I stayed in rehab for 3 months and was transferred to a boarding school in Idaho. To get in to the school, the therapists had to know your IQ so they tested us for hours in rooms. I scored well above genius. Lol. I wrote raps and freestyled everyday in that dumb school, and changed my flow many times. In fact, I still change in a LOT. When I got out of the school all I did all day at home was rap. That and I got a job at In N Out. My brother owns cannabis farms so I worked on those a lot to earn money as well.
I’m always striving to improve, and I believe that things are set a certain way for a reason, things happen for reasons, someone gets shot because someone else pulled the trigger. Adoring the philosophy I decided to be called Reason. So yeah Im Reason. My dream is to make people happy with the music I make. I find so much solace and tranquility in music myself that I want others to feel the same.
