Julien Martese Deshawn Phillips also known as Juewlss. The man with his own genre. Julien is born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. His birthday is April 30, 2000. Julien started off his bootcamp of music back in 2010 starting at the age of 10. Julien grew up involving himself in anything musical. He did talent shows at any school he went to, he sung at graduation ceremonies, he sung at colleges in workshop musicals, he sung at every holiday celebration events anywhere around as you may know it as the “ Hood “, all that led up to Julien getting a lead solo and role in one historical, monumental, forever lasting huge creative musical and strength. His own musical career. His first debut at the age of 17 years old with his own two solo unapologetic albums called “ 17th Life “ and “ EVOLVING “ also an extended play (EP) that same year called Snakes yea! He’s that kind of guy, that Julien always over work himself. He’s a big strong minded hard worker and he knows it. Keep in mind he makes all his solo music from scratch. With the help of one his closest friend Melvin Ameen. Melvin taught him how to make beats. How to listen and hear each instrument. And what to use. So then Julien took that knowledge and elevated his way and evolved his way through all through the chaos and childhood trauma. Life started “ lyfing “ for him. He got injured at least 7 times in his years before he started making his music, just a little fun fact. So after he released SNAKES. He was in high school getting his grades sharp and doing sports. Julien graduated high school with a 3.2 gpa on honor roll. He had most electives his senior because he was a genius in middle school. Julien graduated, he confiscated a few jobs left and right in his teen-adult years. Just so he can have the money to build his own studio equipment or at least buy the tools he knows that is going to last him a long time so he can make music whenever he wants. So at this point Julien grew more 3 years later after SNAKES and graduating high school in 2018. But then something dark came over Julien. Like a dark cloud. He also got jumped really bad almost to death in 2019 for trying to be nice and help a neighbor. But Julien just felt like he been giving his all his entire life and spreading nothing but real positive love with anything and anyone he works for, with, or because of. And yet he was still have conflicts with people and not getting any further with his life he is noticing. But being a Taurus that he is. He still kept the balance, stayed down. Kept quiet, worked hard and then BOOM! He dropped his first ever featured album called Problem Child. With potential hits. This time exclusively only on Spotify, YouTube, and SoundCloud. He pointed out the best songs like House, Friends, IDGAF featuring one of his closest friends/brother who he also graduated with, Tremaine Dent and more songs like You Know It, featuring another brother from another mother Melvin Ameen. After that, nothing happened. Julien kept his full-time job. He stayed private even more to work and go back to the drawing board. Gained his money, made his content, received the compliments but still got no where with his life and career. Not even a performance to showcase his music. Including no budget for music videos at all. Up until 2020 came, then the Coronavirus and Covid 19 hit the world. That didn’t stop Julien from what he had planned. He is always focusing on how to bounce back from universal disasters. Like situations he is in and he can’t control. He was only living his life and working hard with a fulltime job. Little did the universe know, Julien was getting ready to drop one of his most unique solo, self discovery albums of all time. BODY OF WORK. The random, solo otherworldly, weird, I’m just doing this based off of my imagination. I wonder what would being back outside feel like. Self awareness, who am I as a human? Covid album. This album has 6 potential hits. Songs like BODIED, STUNTMAN, CHAMPION, ROCK WITH ME, and more. So that means 6 songs on this solo album is getting played the most everyday, everywhere. And it can change. But permanently 6 potential hits regardless. Don’t worry, Julien isn’t famous or successful yet. He’s just making music, showing up, mess it up, leave the spotlight, come back mess it up and leave again because he loves it. So later that year in 2020, Julien got with some friends, met a artist/engineer, he created his newly, uncut and I’m going to do what I want to do as a 20 year old man. Extended play (EP) called HOMEGROWN. Julien was growing and changing. Fresh out of high school, finally working a full-time, he’s understanding that he is growing up and becoming a man, but he is not perfect either so he wanted to pop his stuff and let everyone know musical that he got this and he’s going to be alright with whatever he is dealing with because he’s homegrown. As in, he’s still raised the right way, good intentions and all, so he knows what he’s doing. Then Julien got played on 13 different radio stations online worldwide in multiple different states in the U.S. with hits like No New Friends, Camp, and Eat. Then Julien finally started performing. Every time he performs Camp the crowd sings the hook back to Julien. Like singing to mocking jay birds and they impersonate you, mock you and echo what they hear back to you. That’s how the mockingjay fan base was born. Everyone loves Camp. Even at real camps, colleges, high schools, clubs, strip clubs, trade schools, bars, military, anywhere you name it. If Julien didn’t perform Camp there. Then he at least knows someone that listens to Camp there. Next, in 2021 Julien released an album even he didn’t know would be the print of his life, his style, his lane, his career. Just the vibe of who Julien is. His Aura. He dropped an album called EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING gave EVERYTHING in 2021 going into 2022. Julien was performing live songs and medley’s for 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes. Julien is one of a kind. His music is real life going up. He started posting TikTok back to back to keep the attention and keep the numbers. By the way, they’re still up. Just was getting paid to perform. Julien got a role in two movies that he’s in. From an extra to up in front of the camera. The character he act as name is Calvin in a movie called Always Consequences and Always Consequences 2 out on Tubi right now. For free. Julien has his lead solo hit song On My Own. Doing numbers, making money, and also played in the movie that Julien is in. Julien met some friends he can collaborate with and be a team. But Julien dropped. He realize he don’t really even fit in with a group of outcast or at least not the one he was in. Julien and the group teamed up and dropped a group album and a few songs. But Julien called it quits and cut it all off. Moving on with his life from the brotherhood, the friendship, bonds and being solo and being more private with his life. He realize he needs to focus on himself again. And he decided that he was ready to do more stuff, and create more content and collaborate with different people. Be more free and open minded, make an easier space to think and be alone. Julien is on the verge to do more and more is coming. Keep in mind. But he’s always working on new ideas, new music, new ways to project his talent, his gift to the world. So stay tuned.
