I was born and raised on the South Shore of Massachusetts. I am the youngest of three boys, two of which became musicians. My formal journey with music began with the saxophone at 8 years old, but I had been singing, humming and lip syncing along to hit from Michael Jackson, the Beatles and Weird Al for as long as I can recall.
One of my older brothers began playing guitar when he was in middle school and soon became my go-to person for musical knowledge. One afternoon I heard "War Pigs" by Black Sabbath and my days with the saxophone were quickly numbered. The next day, my brother was teaching me how to play "War Pigs" on our mother's nylon-string acoustic guitar.
Once I got the basic chords down on the guitar, I took to writing and since then that has been a major focus of mine. A few of my close friends and I formed a band which would last throughout high school and beyond. We recorded a few self-released records and performed throughout Massachusetts.
After high school, I studied Audio Production at Emerson College and interned a few recording studios in Boston. Once I graduated, I moved to LA where I worked at East West Studios and with the production team, WAX LTD. I played in a couple of bands around town, but after a few years felt restless and had the urge to tour.
I hit the road as a solo performer, playing up to five instruments at once with my new one-man band setup. I toured the southwest in 2012 and in 2013 expanded the tour to cross the US and head to Europe for a month.
When the tour was over I returned to my hometown of Marshfield, MA and wrote my third solo release. It was recorded in my hometown and features a bunch of old friends. Since then I have moved to Boston and perform throughout the Northeast regularly. I am headed back to Europe to tour in September and plan to run a regional tour upon returning to the states.
I have a strong passion for music and perform as often as possible. To me, music is a conversation. That is one reason I love being a solo artist. I get to perform with various musicians all the time and each one brings a new perspective to old songs. In the rest of my career I will continue to write, produce and tour. I hope to expand my production work with other artists as well.
