Born in El Paso, Texas, on December 2, 1991, Juan Carlos Meza (a.k.a “JayCee”, and now more formally
known as “MEZZZA”) has been engulfed into the electronic dance scene for over a decade now.
Although he has always been a music fanatic, his love and passion for electronic dance music did not
come up until after he attended his first “rave” back on June 25, 2009, at a venue called Club 101 in El
Paso, Texas. Headlining that event was nonother than DJ legend Benny Bennasi. It was from there forth
that JC really began to cultivate his love for the electronic style type music. As JC continued to attend
similar rave style events, his inspiration only grew stronger eventually leading him to learn how to DJ
himself. JC began performing at local house parties in 2010 and continued to fine tune his DJing skills. By
2012, while living in Austin, Texas, his inspiration became more obsessive and his passion pushed him
further into improving on the craft of DJing which eventually allowed for him to perform at several local
clubs and events. It was during this time that JC’s motivation drifted from “just DJing” to learning how to
produce music. Over the past five years, through much trial and error, and mostly through self-teaching,
JC has crafted his own style and has become an aficionado for house music, specifically tech house with
very groovy type of sounds and tones. Now sprucing into the electronic House music scene in El Paso
Texas, JC’s momentum continues to excel as he performs weekly at various events and venues and his
latest tunes “Here For You” and “House Healed Me” have both been signed to Music Labels and are now
available on Spotify.
