Artist Spotlight: Pink Roses

Pink Roses is a rising pop duo from California. Nate Tepper and Dave Fontenot met years ago in San Francisco while both were pursuing Silicon Valley tech careers. They bonded over music, writing songs together for a little while before deciding to officially form a two-person band and move to Los Angeles. Thus, Pink Roses was born.

Fontenot notes the influence family had on his music.

“For as long as I can remember every time I walk in the room, my Abuelita breaks out into song, freestyling her excitement and love in Spanish,” Fontenot wrote. “Since I was a child, I’ve responded in song.”

His grandma taught him from a young age that he had the decision whether or not to put his heart into something and music is what allows him to feel like he’s in that moment.

“I love life and am all in on music.”

Pink Roses is starting to get some recognition for their work. Their single, “Don’t Give Up On Me”, was particularly well-received, racking up over a million views on YouTube!
