Ed Sheeran Reveals New Album Title

Ed Sheeran Reveals New Album Title

If you’ve been following Ed Sheeran’s music career for any amount of time, you surely know about his unique album titles. There was his 2011 debut studio album + (“plus”), his 2014 follow-up album × (“multiply”), and his 3rd studio album, 2017’s ÷ (“divide”).

So, as you might imagine, Sheeran’s newest album fits that pattern. It will be called = (“equals”) and will be out October 29th.

As part of the promotion for =, Sheeran released a performance video for his second song from the album: “Visiting Hours”.

A far cry from the glampires of “Bad Habits”.

As for the album, Sheeran says it’s a very personal one for him.

“My life changed greatly over the past few years – I got married, became a father, experienced loss, and I reflect on these topics over the course of the album,” Sheeran said in a statement. “I see it as my coming-of-age record, and I can’t wait to share this next chapter with you.”
