ISINA Finalist Interview: Jakonda & Nejtrino

Jakonda is a singer and producer from Russia. DJ Nejtrino is a DJ and music producer living in Russia. Together they are Jakonda & Nejtrino. We caught up with them before they came to Los Angeles to ask them about their music.

How does it feel to be chosen as an ISINA Finalist?

Jakonda: When I found out that we were finalists, it was a big surprise for me! And I’m so excited. It’s a great honor for me to be a finalist with ISINA.

Nejtrino: When I heard the news I was very happy and excited at the same for what’s ahead.

Have you been to America before?

Jakonda: Unfortunately, I’ve never been to L.A. or America. Since childhood, I dreamed of visiting the United States and this is a dream come true.

Nejtrino: I have been to Los Angeles before. I’m so ready to go back!

How long have you been making music?

Nejtrino: I have been producing EDM and DJing for over twenty years now.

Jakonda: I’ve been in music since childhood. I started producing electronic music about ten years ago. And our project together was announced a year ago.

How would you describe your musical style?

Jakonda: We work with many different styles, but mainly pop music and EDM music.

What inspires your music?

Nejtrino: Since childhood, I’ve put all my joy and soul into my music to make people happy.

Jakonda: I’m inspired to create music by tracks from other artists such as David Guetta, Avicii, Calvin Harris, and many others. And also, of course, love!
