Drummers are an essential part of any good band. And while drummers are often in the back, they aren’t just musicians in the background. There are many famous drummers who are well-known for their amazing talent. For example:
Travis Barker. This drummer and music producer is best known for being the drummer of the rock band Blink-182, a band he formed with bassist Mark Hoppus and guitarist Tome DeLonge. He is also collaborated with other bands as well as with the late DJ AM. Barker has established himself as a versatile drummer, making numerous appearances in different music genres including rock, hip-hop, pop, country and alternative rock. He even released a solo album in 2011 called Give the Drummer Some.
Dennis Chambers. This American drummer has recorded albums and performed with numerous musicians like Santana, Niacin, John McLaughlin and John Scofield. This might having any formal training, Chambers has made his way up the musical ranks and has become well known for his speed and technique. His style has been described as powerful and technically proficient, but also highly musical and groove-oriented. Chambers has played in a wide variety of genres, including jazz fusion, funk and Latin music.
Gregg Bissonette. A member for the David Lee Roth band since the 80s, Bissonette is a drum set player that is well known for his instructional channel videos and drum clinics. His videos, Private Lessons and Playing, Reading & Soloing covers a variety of topics including rudiments, double bass drumming, playing with a metronome, playing with brushes, solos, drum fils and more. Bissonette has also played with the Buddy Rich band, Toto, Steve Lukather, Jeff Lynne, Santana, James Taylor, Richard Marxx and Ringo Starr.
