Taylor Swift’s New Album To Be Released in November

Taylor Swift just dropped some new details about her next album on Twitter.

Red (Taylor’s Version) is a re-recording of her 2012 album Red. It will contain 30(!) songs (including one that Swift says “is even 10 minutes long”) and it’s due to be released on November 19th.

The original Red was Swift’s fourth album, which featured such hits as “I Knew You Were Trouble”, “Begin Again”, “The Last Time”, and Billboard Hot 100 number one “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”. The standard edition of Red had 16 songs, while the deluxe version had six more, bringing the total to 22, which is what makes the number of songs Swift mentioned in her tweet so surprising. “This will be the first time you hear all 30 songs that were meant to go on Red,” she wrote on Twitter.

Red (Taylor’s Version) will be Swift’s second re-recorded album following Fearless (Taylor’s Version), which was released earlier this year and topped the Billboard 200 chart. It featured hits like “Love Story”, “You Belong with Me” and “We Were Happy”.

These albums are part of Swift’s quest to re-record her first six albums after her label sold her masters to Ithaca Holdings.
