Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds Hollywood Walk of Fame Star
In October of 2013, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds earned the 2,508th star on Hollywood Walk of Fame, and he rightfully deserves it. Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds is an extremely talented singer, songwriter and record producer. In fact, many of today's artists and hit songs have had some influence from him.
Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, a multi-Grammy award winner, has recorded over 10 solo album of his own. In the height of his own singing career, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds made a name for himself with his smooth voice and romantic lyrics, which he has carried on ‘til this day. He has received numerous awards, including Soul Train Music Awards, NAACP Image Awards and American Music Awards. He was also honored with the third BET Walk of Fame Award, and named BET’s “Entertainer of the Year.”
But Mr. Edmonds didn't just stop at recording his own music. Contributing to over 125 Top-10 R&B and Pop hits, 42 #1 R&B hits, and 51 Top-10 Pop hits; he is an influential and pivotal part of music today. Just a handful of the artist who have been influenced by Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds include Whitney Houston, Madonna, Boyz II Men, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Michael Jackson, TLC, Toni Braxton, Celine Dion, John Mellencamp and Aretha Franklin.
Most recently, Mr. Edmonds has produced albums for artists including Barbra Streisand, Jennifer Hudson, Colbie Caillat and Ariana Grande. He also recently paired up with Toni Braxton to create a duet album.
This extremely busy artist and producer not makes his own music and works with dozens of other artists, she also does extensive charity work which has won him the Essence Award for Excellence and the City of Hope Award. He has donated over $100,000 to the Save the Music Program, and contributes to programs like UNCF.
