Mariah Carey’s animated ‘All I Want for Christmas’ Comes Out in November!

The animated feature “Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You,” is based on the children’s book inspired by her 1994 hit song and debuts onto home video and streaming on November 14th.

Interestingly, “All I Want for Christmas Is You” is the name of one of Mariah Carey’s tracks that was produced with and arranged by one of Isina’s very own mentors, Walter Afanasieff. In the years since its original release, "All I Want for Christmas Is You" has been critically lauded and has become established as a Christmas standard; it was once called "one of the few worthy modern additions to the holiday canon" in The New Yorker.

Universal Studios Home Entertainment says that the film, which is also narrated by Carey, will include an original song as well as three of the singer’s Christmas tunes: the title track, “Miss You Most (At Christmas Time)” and “Christmas Time Is in the Air Again.” The 91-minute feature follows young Mariah (voiced by Breanna Yde, from the Nickelodeon series “School of Rock”), who wants a puppy for Christmas, but first must prove she’s responsible by pet-sitting a rambunctious mutt named Jack. Henry Winkler, Lacey Chabert and Phil Morris also provide voices.
