Richard Marx shares acoustic renditions in online series

Famed singer and songwriter Richard Marx brightened up our day recently when he presented a set of some classic tracks straight from his Malibu, California home in the latest installment of Rolling Stone’s In My Room. This series of at-home artist performances are aimed to entertain a quarantined public.

Marx had a quick work to share of thanks before starting his set. He thanked the first responders and essential workers “who are risking themselves day in and day out for us.”

Marx then opened with one of his hit singles from the 1987 self-titled debut, “Endless Summer Nights.” After that, he launched into a powerful rendition of the 1992 smash hit, “Hazard.”

Marx elaborated that he loved Hazard and it was “one of [his] favorite songs that [he’s] ever written.” He continues that he never expected the song to become a hit, and just really wanted to experiment with writing a story song.

Marx closed his set out with one more track from his debut, “Don’t Mean Nothing.”

The music world is truly fortunate to have such incredible talent willing to put their foot forward to help relieve the stress of this unprecedented period in history.
