My name is Thibault Paillon, I'm half Belgian, half French. I'm a bass music producer and DJ focusing on the deeper and the most emotionally charged side of music. I've been doing it for about 4 years.
I had the chance of attending production and DJing lessons at Point Blank Music School in London, which really helped me to get free of the technical limitations I used to have and properly express myself through my music.
I'm what we call nowadays a "bedroom producer", as I have built myself with the years a comfy little home studio in which I work every day in order to always keep improving my skills.
My musical influences are wide as they go from trip-hop from the likes of Massive Attack, Moby and such to breakcore (Venetian Snares, Igorrr,...) and modern classical music (Ludovico Einaudi to name only one).
I never had any kind of musical theory or lessons whatsoever but always been curious about music and have trained my ears musically with the years so I can play my own melodies on the keyboard without actually knowing how to play the piano.
I'm also currently studying audio engineering at the SAE in Brussels, I figured it was the best way to keep a foot in the music industry, even if I never manage to make it with the "eXcess" project.
Hopefully my profile will catch your interest!
(Oh and big up for setting up such a big opportunity, this is what makes the world of music such a beautiful thing in my opinion)
