Of guitar-shaped forests and picks flown to Mars - these facts you probably haven’t heard before!

For some fledgling artists, a watershed moment occurs at an early juncture in their lives that points to their future pursuits. Something happens to let them know they're on the right path, with a certain destiny ahead. Perhaps a family member or a teacher hears or sees them dabbling in their chosen field and encourages them to keep at it. An inspiring event or even a trauma can trigger a need or desire to reveal what's inside one's heart and mind, to show and tell the world, "This is who I am."

When talent conspires with self-expression and initiative, the die is cast. Do all aspiring musicians, actors, designers, dancers, writers, etc. experience a catalyst that can turn a hobby or diversion into a potential career or a mission? Maybe. Maybe not. But if you've chosen to take your creative side seriously and make every effort to be the best you can be at your craft, ISINA's staff and mentors provide the sort of guidance and expertise that will help you realize your dreams and reach your goals.

Hey folks it seems there has been too many composers on this week’s digest lets add a guitarist to the mix, shall we?

Here we have Assaf Levy, he is from Raman Gan, Israel. Listen to his beautiful ballad chords. Many Spectators can feel him expressing himself through his playing and are truly touched by it!

A few months ago, Alexey submitted an amazing audition video to ISINA. We also learned that the guitar he played so beautifully wasn’t his own.

Alexey lives near Chernobyl, Ukraine where opportunities are limited and financial situations are bleak. While Alexey had a heavy love for music, his own financial situation didn't seem to help propel his dream. In fact, one of his goals was just to have his own guitar. While many people may think obtaining their own guitar sounds like a simple endeavor, for Alexey it could likely take a lifetime to save up the funds for such a luxury. In the meantime, Alexey would borrow a guitar from his neighbor whenever he had the chance.

Frank Gambale is renowned for his sweep picking technique. He proved that it could be done, and brought it into mainstream music. Here is a little more about this talented musician and his amazing technique.

We’ve mentioned Chick Corea and his band in our post about Frank Gambale. But Corea has accomplished so much in his musical career, that it is necessary to devote a post entirely to his music.

Last night on Wednesday, December 17th, #ISINA was thrilled to have its launch party. We were honored to have many friends and guests attend and support ISINA and our vision to help aspiring artists like you reach their dreams.

When I started playing guitar, I had a desire to play things that weren’t usually played on guitar.  I loved what Michael Brecker was playing on the saxophone and what Chick Corea was doing on the keyboard.  It was almost impossible to get those kinds of lines out on my instrument. I followed this deep desire that led me to figure out how to play what I heard in my head on my guitar.  It took many, many hours, days, and years to develop my Sweep Picking Technique but I stuck to it and it has given me the freedom to express all my musical thoughts and what was stirring in my soul.
