Another Big Christmas Season For Walter Afanasieff

The 2021 holiday season is just about wrapping up, and if you listened to any Christmas music this season, you very likely heard ISINA Mentor Walter Afanasieff’s hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You”, a song he wrote and produced back in 1994.

This year, the song made history by being the first song to ever reach the Billboard Hot 100’s number one spot in three distinct runs. It first reached number one in December of 2019. Then again in December of 2020. This year it reached number one for the third year in a row!

To top it all off, “All I Want for Christmas Is You” was streamed over 17,000,000 times on December 24th, which was a single-day record for Christmas Eve!

The song has even been awarded three Guinness World Records in the past for its success to boot.
