NEW at ISINA: Music Hayk Collaborates with Our Pros
ISINA Mentor Walter Afanasieff has gathered his team of professionals to remake Music Hayk’s song “Do Something About It”.
Music Hayk was, of course, one of our ISINA Finalists this month. He’s a returning musician from ISINA’s previous iteration and we wanted to make sure we fulfilled our commitment to him.
As part of this process, Afanasieff recruited a crew of professional musicians and producers to help make the song all that it could be, including ISINA Mentor Davix, the Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer, and DNA, a platinum selling producer as well.
On the musician side, Afanasieff brought in an all-star team of instrumentalists to work on the project.
Alexander Mathias is an award winning multi-instrumentalist who has spent many years now providing music for film and TV. Sean Billings has recorded with U2, Selena Gomez, and Pitbull, among others, and has also performed on multiple television and film projects. And Richard Velzen is a highly in-demand trombonist who has traveled the world playing in horn sections.
The only problem was that Music Hayk was currently out of the country. Thankfully, we live in a wonderful age of technology. Afanasieff’s team was able to connect with Music Hayk over video call to remotely collaborate and things went great! With such a team working on it, how could it not?
We’re very excited with the results and we can’t wait to share them with you soon.
In the meantime, keep checking back for more looks behind the scenes as our Finalists and our pros make musical magic together.
