Chris Lord-Alge - The Lord of the Mix

Chris Lord-Alge - The Lord of the Mix

Chris Lord-Alge is a five time Grammy-award winning mix engineer with decades of experience.

Lord-Alge got his start on the East Coast, first working as an assistant engineer at H & L Studios in New Jersey before moving on to Unique Recording Studios in New York in the early 1980s. There he worked on multiple albums for artists including James Brown, Tina Turner, Chaka Khan, Pat Benatar, Carly Simon, and Joe Cocker. He also worked on several singles for artists such as Madonna, U2, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen.

Eventually, Lord-Alge made his way across the country, landing in Los Angeles where, over the years, he would continue his work on major projects from such musicians as Prince, Rod Stewart, Stevie Nicks, John Prine, Elton John, The Black Eyed Peas, Pink, and Duran Duran.

In a storied career, perhaps Lord-Alge's biggest accomplishment is his work with the band Green Day, which earned him four Grammys over the years.

Chris Lord-Alge has mixed all over the world for some of the biggest names in music and ISINA is thrilled to have him as a mentor.
