Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds and Toni Braxton’s Grammy Win

Years after they first collaborated, Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds and Toni Braxton returned to the Grammys together and took home the award for Best R&B album.
Their album, Love, Marriage & Divorce is a long awaited collaboration between the two superstars. In the 90s, Braxton rose to the top of the charts with the help of producer Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds. Her first 2 studio albums propelled her into stardom and sold over 16 million copies.
From the start of her career, Braxton ruled the charts. Albums Toni Braxton (1993), Secrets (1996) and The Heat (2000) all topped the music lists.
As a singer, Kenny rose to fame in the 90s with Tender Love. However, behind the scenes, Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds has been very busy. He co-founded LaFace Records, and has written and  produced music for many chart-toppers like Bobby Brown, Paula Abdul, Sheena Easton, TLC, Usher, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Janet Jackson, Celine Dion, Kenny G, Lil Wayne, Ariana Grande, Phil Collins and Beyonce among many others.
Though they worked very well together as singer and producer, this latest studio album features both as singers. The music focuses on the duos views on love and divorce.
Love, Marriage & Divorce debuted at number 1 on the R&B chart, number 4 on the US Billboard 200, and brought music back to the forefront for Braxton. She told Times, “I wasn't using my voice — I was using the voice others told me to use. It was a dark period. But Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds was the person who snapped me out of it. He said, 'Toni, you're forgetting you're an artist. Stop being a business manager and tell people your story.' "
The album includes 11 tracks, including their #1 single, “Hurt You,” and their second single entitled “Where Did We Go Wrong.”
Love, Marriage & Divorce was up against Norwegian R&B singer Jarle Bernhoft, pianist Robert Glasper, soul-pop singer Aloe Blacc and Sharon Jones. The album was also nominated for World’s Best Album at the 2014 World Music Awards.
