Coldplay Perform "Pure Imagination" To Honor Gene Wilder

Coldplay performs a moving tribute in memory of Gene Wilder, who passed away August 29th. The beloved actor was well known for portraying Willy Wonka in Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory (1971).

Gene Wilder is now another constellation in our sky full of stars. The comedian and writer lost his life to complications due to Alzheimer’s disease earlier this week and his death has sparked a series of tributes throughout the celebrity world.

One of those beautiful tributes was performed by Coldplay. The band took the opportunity to celebrate Wilder’s life at their concert in Denver on Monday by singing “Pure Imagination”. Wilder made the song famous as Willy Wonka and Coldplay truly honored him with their beautiful rendition.
