In 2014, the Ukrainian indie rock band Brunettes Shoot Blondes came up with a unique way of telling a story in a music video - narrating a plot live sequenced through different devices: Everyone, meet Andrew Kovaliov, Roman Sobol, Igor Sidash and Yuriy Vodolazhskiy!

The band's self-directed music video „Knock Knock“ not only went viral over night, but also won „Best Concept“ award at the Berlin Music Video Awards in 2015 with more than 8 million views. Merging music with technology in such a creative way, Brunettes Shoot Blondes became a true pioneer in their field, inspiring fans all over the globe.

"For Knock Knock using technology was just one of the ways to express ourselves,“ says frontman Andrew. "We wanted to show that devices are a part of people's everyday lives. Of course we wanted the video to be popular, but we didn't expect such an effect. So for us that was a surprise to catch the attention of the worldwide audience having no budget at all."

After the enormous success, the band continued to incorporate technology in their videos, shaping the music industry in a brand new way. Their video "Bittersweet“ made in partnership with the German car manufacturer Opel features the idea of a "picture in a picture“ incorporating footage performed directly from the screens of devices without editing.

Currently the band is touring across Ukraine and Europe and getting ready to release their new video to "Every Monday“ in April.

We are very excited to have the band here on board at ISINA - everyone, support Brunettes Shoot Blondes and check out their new music!
