Featured Performer: Music Hayk
Soul knows no national boundaries, as is proven by the sweet and emotive vocals of Russian-Armenian singer Hayk. The 29-year-old started his formal musical education with a study of jazz, but found his calling when he embraced R&B and hip-hop music -- American-born styles that transcend borders and cultures.
His universal appeal was already evident in a series of fruitful Eastern Europe collaborations as he performed and recorded with various musical peers. But now, he's producing his own material. Self-branded as Music Hayk, he has applied his supple voice to cover versions of such pop-soul classics as Lionel Richie's "Endless Love" and the Christina Aguilera ballad “Say Something,” with much more to come.
As he says, he's positively thrilled by the chance to work with the likes of ISINA luminaries and music industry maestros Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds and Walter Afanasieff. Considering his skill set, it might not be long before Western audiences are enjoying the sounds of Music Hayk.
