Featured Applicant: Mary Sarah

Only 19 years old and Mary Sarah already sang so many duets with famous singers such as Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson! Praised by Dolly herself!

She started singing at the very young age of 8! She toured and uploaded her performances on Youtube and that is how she got noticed by many people.

Oak’s Joe Bonsall was taken away by her performances on social media, and quickly tweeted her to invite her to join them at their show.

Then she found a mentor, Freddy Powers, the songwriter who wrote for Haggard’s “I Always Get Lucky with You.” His friend then helped her assemble her duet partners.

The album she was recording was a tribute to Freddy Powers who is suffering from Parkinson’s disease. The last track on the album “All I Want to Do Is Sing My Song” is the song she really wanted him featured in because he took a chance on her.

Mary wants to bring a little bit of the old country and let people know about these songs in her album! She loves to connect listeners.
