Skip Saylor Joins the ISINA Team

ISINA has many talented coaches from all areas of the music industry. We are thrilled to tell that you that Skip Saylor, the multi-Grammy Award winning record producer and mixer is joining our team.

For those in the music business, the name "Skip Saylor" has become synonymous with professionalism and quality. He is credited on 8 of Billboard’s Top 300 selling records of all time. He has worked with many of the top artists like Aaliyah, Michael Jackson, the Temptations, Toni Braxton, R. Kelly, the Isley Brothers, Guns and Roses, Elton John, Kenny G, Aretha Franklin and many, many more.

Saylor is the owner of Skip Saylor Recording Company, Inc., the recording and mix facility in the San Fernando Valley. Founded in 1980, Saylor’s studio has put him in the midst of many major record releases and allowed him to be involved in just about every aspect of making records.

Saylor’s location in the San Fernando Valley was built on a ranch style property in the mid-2000’s. He has said about the facility, “All those classic rooms in town have high ceilings, which made my two story barn, with its natural acoustics, the perfect setting for my new room.”

The new studio was meant to not only serve Skip and his producing projects, but it was also built to assist many other successful producers, engineers and mixers that Skip has come to associate with collaborate with over his extensive and successful career.

And the studio, sometimes called “the Compound” gets rave reviews from everyone who has had the opportunity to use the facility. In addition to having a complete tracking and mix room, Saylor’s studio also has bedrooms, living areas and kitchen for artists to use while on the premises. Just a handful of the notable artists that have used the studio include Booker T. Jones, Jazz Saxophonist Mindi Abair and former Cosby show actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner.

Saylor has said, “I enjoy the diversity of work I do here, and I strive to offer the best tools for making the highest quality recordings, providing an environment where the artist is comfortable and can thrive.”

Saylor’s talent in mixing and recording, as well as his long history in the music business, are both great additions to the ISINA team. Applicants who are lucky enough to be picked to join the program can get the chance to work with Saylor, and learn from his many years of experience.
