Born in the projects of Los Angeles, JayDon Omega soon found himself out of that setting and living in the 818, the San Fernando Valley. It was there his appreciation and talent for spoken word poetry came to life. From there he started to spit rhymes. Today he’s played everywhere from home to Las Vegas to SXSW showcases.
Anyone with the background JayDon Omega has had will lean towards the realness that comes with life. That’s why his music is close to the streets and the neighborhoods he came up in. He notes of his sound, “Every person has their on story and I'm here to tell mine, but in a way where it touches your mind and gives you a feel good energy.” With that, he’s got a style that blends the coasts when it comes to hip hop, “You might hear me on an East Coast beat with mathematical verbal flows, and then hear me on an West Coast beat with my West Coast swag.”
The streets of the the valley, more specifically Pacoima, was the inspiration behind his first single, “Turnt Up.” A song full of energy set the bar as he continued to keep spirits high with “Get It In” and “U Ain’t Gettin’ Dollars.” He’s not just full of singles though, he also has an album titled JayDon Omega and The Goon Gang, which had him working with fellow hip hop artists from the Valley. With all his music, JayDon Omega is also planning on getting his own label off the ground to help fellow indie artists.
On top of the music and the label, JayDon Omega wants to continue his rise to the top to insure his longevity by producing, ghostwriting and more. He knows this isn’t a sprint and wants to take him time so that nothing falls through the cracks in his master plan.
