Saidah Nairobi, a Queens native raised in Atlanta, has been known as a back-up dancer for music heavyweights including, Beyonce, Usher, Ciara, and NeYo for almost 10 years. She has toured the globe performing in over 300 countries and has also performed on televised programs and award shows including Superbowl XLV and Superbowl 50 with Usher and Beyonce respectively, the Grammys, American Music Awards, BET Awards, MTV VMAs, Good Morning America, Today Show, Ellen, and Jimmy Kimmel Live to name a few. She can be seen on the concert tour DVDs for Beyonce’s ‘I Am World Tour’, as well as Usher’s ‘OMG Tour’, and was most recently featured in Beyonce’s visual album ‘Lemonade’, as well as being one of the leading dancer’s on Beyonce’s historic ‘Formation World Tour.’ After a successful and fulfilling journey, Saidah has begun the evolution of her career from back-up dancer to music artist. She has recently released her debut song and video, “We Are,” an empowering and uplifting record that will be included on her upcoming EP.
Some of her favorite songwriters include Narada Michael Walden, Brian Alexander Morgan, Smokey Robinson, Babyface, and NeYo. Her musical inspiration includes Sam Cooke, Whitney Houston, Lisa Fischer, Toni Braxton, Sade, and Bob Marley.
Saidah Nairobi’s favorite scripture is “For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind.”
