Middle Ground is a South African Electronic music Duo whose focus is House Music, Techno and Deep Tech.


We have been working at our craft for over 10 years in terms of Djing and producing individually and as a duo since about 2010.
At the end of 2014 we had our first House release "I don't get it" -(Deep Soulful House) and this year we have had one release thus far "Looking for someone"-(Commercial House) We have 4 releases coming out in the next two months on international labels with various house genres, these tracks consist of a mix between commercial house with a 90's sound, Deep House and a new crossover style we developing *We are not exclusively signed to any label*


The Name Middle Ground comes from the way we work together as a team always creating music that's a Middle Ground between our ideas. We work towards crossing over genres and sounds thus creating a following of listeners who are different ages and from different backgrounds and cultural groups.


Cameron studied Music for 3 years and continued to teach himself and learn from others over the last few years.


JonT started to teach himself at the age of 15, stopped for a few years and resumed his learning in the last 5 to 6 years on his own and with the help of others.


JonT is the outgoing one in the group and Cameron is the more quite one, but can also be social when he wants to be.


Most of the music Cameron listens to is from the 60's 70's and 80's he also listens to the occasional pop track if it catches his attention such as Karen Harding or Katy Perry and even some Infected Mushroom or System of Down. Of course he also listens to both new and old House, Techno, Deep Tech and old school Prog.


JonT lives and breathes mainly electronic music, mainly listening to both new and old House, Techno, Deep Tech, Old school prog. He also enjoys some rock music his favorite bands being Muse and System of a Down, and like Cameron he enjoys the odd Pop Song such as Karen Harding and Michael Jackson. On occasion he has been known to listen to classical music as well as Opera which he sings in the shower :P and he has recently become a big fan of all Lana Del Rey’s Music.


From an Electronic music perspective they can always agree on a few names such as. MK aka Marc Kinchen, Jamie Jones, Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, John Digweed, Gorgon City, Tom Novy,Dixon, Lee Foss, Depeche Mode,Frankie Knuckles,Disclosure,Orbital and a few others.


JonT's other interests include :Business,psychology,horse riding,keeping fit and healthy,gaming, clubbing(only when the music is good),good movies, helping others through organizations he belongs to and a company he started. (His main interest above anything else is Music)


Cameron's other interests include :
Painting mainly with oil paints, gaming, good food, relaxing with family and friends,good movies ,clubbing on occasion. (His main interest above anything else is Music)
