Jai Corrine has been singing since the age of 5 years old, when she sang with a Women’s choir from a Baptist church located in Washington, D.C. Her musical roots are in Gospel having worked with some of its greatest artists.

Jai Corrine worked as the female vocalist with the Charlie Hampton Trio for over 15 years and performed at venues such as Blues Alley, The Classics, The Ibex, and others up and down the East Coast.

Jai won second place on the BET Jazz Vocal Showcase at which time Maysa was one of her judges who described Jai as being a great vocalist.

Jai has a love for helping people and she has a heart for reducing the suffering of others. She is the CEO & Founder of the Institute for the Prevention & Eradication of Violence, Inc. (IPEV), which she founded and had incorporated in 1999. IPEV has provided outpatient substance abuse treatment, anger management classes, re-entry services, HIV/AIDS counseling/testing, and domestic violence prevention/intervention, to men, women, and youth in the District of Columbia. Her newest social service venture is The Dorothy Height Welcome Home Project, which provides gender specific services to female returning citizens. Therefore, most of the proceeds from the sales of the CD will go to support these programs. Statistics are showing that these social ills are continuously on the rise, especially in under served communities, and we have to do more to towards outreach, prevention, and treatment programs.

Jai Corrine asks that people not only share in the enjoyment of the wonderful songs on her CD, but also help to make the world a better place for everyone, especially those who are suffering.
