Hesham Abdul Wahab is inspired by traditional Indian harmonies, and the music of great historic composers constantly rings in his ears. When he sings, he expresses his spirituality through a highly individual brand of music that calls upon sufi, classical and world music sources that makes him a truly unique artist.

Graduated as an Audio Engineer from renowned audio university SAE Institute, Hesham is pursuing his career in the field of International Music Scene as a Singer-Songwriter and Music Producer. Signed as a Record Artist with UK based Record Label Andante Records, “Qadam Badha” [Step Forward] will be Hesham’s debut world-sufi music album.

This album being produced by world-famous Singer-Songwriter Sami Yusuf, will have 11 tracks in traditional Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam and English language. Penned by writers from all around the world includes famous lyricist Rafeeque Ahammed, Aekata Warrier, Shiyas from India and Faez Choudhary from Pakistan. “Qadam Badha” would also be having a track dedicated to late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Famous Sufi Mystic Poets like Bulleh Shah and Amir Khusro’s words also would be included in the album. Sarangi Virtuoso Suhail Yusuf Khan from the famous Indian fusion band Advaita has also collaborated with Hesham in this album.

After 3 years in the making, the album released world-wide digitally on the 15th of January, 2015.

Additionaly, the young musician has been a playback singer for several Indian movies including “Pattalam” [2009], “Traffic” [2011], “Gaddama” [2011], “Thira” [2013] and “Om Shaanthi Oshaana” [2014]
