2015 was a year filled with exploration and collaboration as Rimini Roudette travelled the world on a musical adventure from Berlin, Paris, Utah, Las Vegas, Thailand and Arizona. Settling for periods of time in LA, Melbourne and of course her hometown London to combine forces writing and recording with guitar legend Bob Boykin (Etta James and Pink), the international house DJ Doorly and also putting her hand to writing in the EDM world.

Raised in Camden Town Rimini Roudette was engulfed in music from birth with two bass players for parents and counting Neneh Cherry, Reckless Eric and Ian Dury as extended family. Bass lines and singing were part her everyday as her dad used her cot to keep time during practice and joined in with her mums singing lessons before she could stand.

Naturally she rebelled against her rock n roll childhood and embarked on the least euphonious path possible, working for a number of corporations in the City. Unable to escape the intangible pull of music she walked away from a highly successful but ultimately not soul fulfilling career to whole-heartedly return to her roots as a musician.

Overcoming a fear of singing in public she passionately taught others to do the same for a while as she learnt the ropes of songwriting, performing and playing the piano. Working closely with others to help them build self-confidence and nurture talent in its most delicate formative stages. This fervent interest in people as unique individuals, all with their own innate potential is also communicated through her soulful lyrics and her music aims to uplift with catchy hooks and big beats.

Riding the creative waves of 2015, 2016 looks set to be an eventful year with a house album being recorded in late January, followed by a number of exciting dance collaborations…. #watchthisspace
