I was born in Perm - last town of Europe. Do you know scary tales about Wild West? So it was - gunfire, screams, crime, blood on the asphalt and no good news for tomorrow. City of industrial blues, as it seems to me.
Was 4 or 5 years old, when I tried to make my first song. I played a couple of chords on piano. A grew up with Sgt. Pepper and Abbey Road by Beatles - this is my passion for all times. Link Wray (thats why I bought red SG), Fleetwood Mac (by Peter Green particularly), The Kinks (the are second after Beatles), Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Stooges, and other. At all, I like to dig up the old rare records - surf, country, funk, jazz sometimes. Scott Walker, Isaac Hayes, Luis Bacalov.
I grew up in the end of 90s - I was the one, who liked rock music - there was a lot of hip hop around. It's nice, because hip hop music give a sense of beat.
My first band appeared in times, when a great number of different music became available - thanks for internet. It was the times, when I opened 22-20s, Miles Kane and his Rascals, Arctic Monkeys, Strokes and Black Keys (that wasn't popular then, but I found, that someone made music like me).
It was the times of first steps on the scene. First gigs in other towns. We became relatively popular, got into first documentary about underground scene of my hometown. But we got some really different music tastes. So, my first band vanished in the years.
I had a special taste for music (not so special in real life, it's just my city - it's stick-in-the-mud, lagged behind for a few years), and it wad hard to find somebody to work with my new records. I found crazy drummer, and so we made The Thunderbolts. Another members came in and out for a long time. We made a couple of records, made new gigs, a lot of mad parties, but everytime we had a problems with regular members. Music is just the hobby for all the people, that I've met, nobody wants it seriously, here is no industry in Russia, so people are scared to stay hungry, living nowhere with no roads left. But I got nothing except music. Hard times forced to try to find luck in other city. So I moved in Moscow.
