Well... Eva and Guitar, (called Gui from now on) is like one of these highly romantic a bit cheesy love stories, in which two people meet over years without ever revealing their true feelings for each other. Despite Eva definitely has deep feelings, the "relationship" never exceeds a certain threshold, because Eva is 18 and just to scared. She fears rejection. How could she tell Gui that she wanted to be with him everyday? That she wants to truly conceive him and not just look at him from a concert row or listen to him on a CD track? She is convinced of not being good enough for him. Wasn´t she "just a girl?". Doesn´t guys like Gui normally prefer to be played by …guys, cool guys. Rock´n Roll is a man´s world. That´s it.

So for years Eva contents herself with loving Gui passively from far away. She admires his tough and loud side: Nirvana, Helmet, Tool, Metallica, Deftones, Sick of it all, NIN, Alternative Rock. Eva enjoys going on concerts with her male buddies, that´s enough to be content. Life feels cool. At that time she buys a classical guitar but she doesn´t go further than quater-heartedly jingling around with it.

In her mid-twenties she discovers Guis ironic and weird side. Pavement and Tocotronic ( a german slacker band) totally opened a new chapter and Evas feelings got even stronger when she paid more attention to the lyrics. She also discovers Gui´s country and songwriter side and spents a lot of time with Elliott Smith, Leonard Cohen and Johnny Cash. Early Weezer( Pinkerton!), Ween, The Fall, Interpol, Joy Division, B.R.M.C., And you will know us by the trail of dead, Jeffrey Lewis,The Beatles, Gun Club, The Hives, Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes, David Bowie... she´s baffled. How could ONE gui sound so different every time. She loves it and she wants to do something to express her passion. For three years during art college Eva and her friend Anja play their favorite rock and indie tunes as a DJ Team (Commander Dativ & Captain Lo-Fi) in Frankfurt, Germany.

In her late twenties Eva finishes art school with a filmmaker diploma, breaks up with her boyfriend and moves to another city (Vienna). She already feels that her love for Gui isn´t that strong anymore, she´s shocked when she realizes that almost imperceptibly she has totally lost interest in him. Some dark years begin, where she feels empty and where the passion she once felt for Gui seems to be completely gone. She works in the animation industry, has even success with her independent animated film work, but something… the the passion of music as it once was, is gone.

Life goes on and one day in august 2014, Eva finds herself sitting on the balcony in a rather melancholic mood. She´s a bit heartsick and autumn has begun to early this year. It´s rainy and cold. There she sees her flatmate Paul´s classical guitar leaning on the wall. She starts to play. Timidly… The following three rainy weeks she sits on the balcony and plays sad tunes. Alone or together with Paul who encourages her. Playing guitar feels different to the last time she tried in her early twenties. She starts to learn songs from all the bands she loves. In the beginning it´s jingling around as before, but this time there´s ambition too. She doesn´t want to JUST PLAY AROUND, she wants to LEARN. She teaches herself the basic chords and barré, is proud on the skin getting thicker on her fingertips.
Paul has to leave the city in October, takes the guitar with him, so Eva buys herself a new one. A Washburn Western Guitar. Steel strings feel way better to her than nylon. The thin guitar neck feels great in her hands and it sounds so much better than a classical guitar. It is HER first guitar. She´s in love again. In the beginning she´s so enthusiastic about learning that she also practices on the train from Vienna to Frankfurt, when she visits her parents. She tries to sing and play at the same time. She makes progress, she feels that she has found her instrument. She borrows an e-guitar from a friend. Practice and is surprised how different it feels to play standing. She loves it.

In Ferbruray 2015 Eva starts recording with garageband, she´s surprised to hear her voice. It sounds very soft and tender. Actually she wants to sound loud and dirty like Weezer on Pinkerton or dry and cool as Helmet. Her old heroes. Rock n´Roll! But somehow this is what seems to flow out of her and she likes it...

Spring 2015. On the weekends Eva has her shared studio space for herself. She plays guitar, records covers from bands she loves, just to LEARN how to play and sing at the same time. She takes guitar lessons, does tutorials on Youtube and somehow she feels like all what she has always felt for Gui is suddenly back. But it has grown inside her over the years and she has grown and now she can let it out. She loves playing guitar, she starts going to concerts again. But she looks and listens differently. She is fascinated by "what the guitar does". Her love for Gui has deepened, after she thought that it had disappeared completely.

In May 2015 Eva feels that she should open a new YT-Channel. "Sunday Home Recordings" Up to now she has put her music on her animation channel, but she feels like that doesn´t fit anymore. She doesn´t talk much about her new passion with people and friends, they would probably think she's completely crazy now. 34, female and wants to become a musician. Others start as teenagers! She just does it. And she puts her song fragments and covers on Youtube on a fresh channel with no subscribers. She hash´t much views but one or two friends honestly like her stuff.

On May 12th Eva compiles her first 8 songs (Covers and 3 own songs) on a CD for a friend who has helped her through dark times and names it "Eva´s Demo for dummies", which she finds funny as reference to the "E-Guitar for Dummies" book on her desktop.

On May 14th there´s a short, cryptic comment from user "Helen Kelter" under one of her videos, saying:
"Hello if you are interested in guitar, check out this amazing video! It might help you career! https://youtu.be/s7zRpYnbZXM"

Eva watches the video with Frank Gambale, checks the ISINA Site, reads "upload your demo" and gets extremely excited about the universes almost magical timing. She thinks: "Well, feels like the perfectly right time to try that!"

She´s super excited about the idea of the intense LEARNING experience, which ISINA offers. The chance to learn from the best, 6 weeks in L.A. working with professionals, jamming with other musicians. Music, all day long. Practicing all day to develop her true potential. She has to give it a chance. There are no coincidences. The time is now to become the best version of herself. And that´s with a guitar on her side. As a songwriter maybe, or whatever wants to come out of her.
