When I was 9 I started writing music. Being born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania there's not much to do here. In all my spare time I would take hit songs from the radio and rewrite them with the same melody and syllables, but with different words and subject matter. By 13, I had progressed and was now writing and recording my own music. I didn't know too much about how to mix a song at the time, but I got a cheap recording pack and would make songs by recording my vocals over an instrumental in the program "Audacity". Around that age I got FL Studio and taught myself how to create my own instrumentals. By then, I had self taught how to write music, track my vocals, and create my own instrumentals. It took a lot of time, but I still hadn't known how to mix and master, which I later realized I could do in FL Studio and took many nights to do so. I've worked on music at least 4 times a week since I was 9 and have created over 400 songs since, many of which have gotten deleted over the years due to losing old flash drives or CD's, but a handful of them from age 13 and on are still floating around the internet. Around that time, in high school we would have "Music Fridays" where my school would have an assembly and let students showcase their music live for the students. I signed up at least 10 times and became of the best known and anticipated acts, a school of over 600 students. Now I'm 18, and am completely motivated about music. It's my passion and dream, something I need to do as much as I want to do it. I don't make music to be praised or worshiped or for money or girls, but I would love to one day make a career of it and be able to spread my art to millions of people. Every song I make is completely made by me, every single thing down to the drums. Sometime I may use royalty free samples or sound effects to enhance the song which may be the only thing I don't do all on my own, but I'll twist it around enough to make it my own. It was hard for me to pick a category to showcase my music on because I write, produce, perform, record, mix, and master all of my music on my own in my room with all the equipment I've gotten over the years.
