I'm a professional vocalist, actor, and voiceover artist in Atlanta, Georgia and grew up in New Albany, Indiana. My passion most definitely lies in music. I received both my undergraduate & graduate degrees in music, studying both classical voice and then jazz voice. My journey through music started with the violin. I was a violinist from around 5 years old until I was 18. When I was 12, I began studying classical voice. When it came to deciding which instrument to choose when I went off to college, I chose my voice.
I was an opera singer most of my life until I switched to singing crossover contemporary jazz, and overall, I've been singing professionally for almost 20 years. I've performed from stage to screen in opera, musicals, operettas, and stage plays, to having a career spanning 15 years in both voiceovers and on-camera. I toured internationally as a featured jazz soloist with Jubilate, one of South Florida’s highly acclaimed small vocal groups. While working with Jubilate, I also performed in concerts with 10-time Grammy Award-winning singer Bobby McFerrin, Latin Grammy Award-winning flautist Nestor Torres, legendary actor/singers Clifton Davis and Harry Belafonte, and Metropolitan Opera soprano Marvis Martin.
Just before I released my debut jazz album, "Time After," I was approached by Sennheiser/Neumann to solidify an authorized partnership for both music and voiceover. I recently completed a successful radio and media campaign, where my album was very well-received by critics and peaked at #1 on CMJ Most Added Charts & #36 on CMJ Top 40 Charts. Sennheiser/Neumann provided the recording microphones for my album release concerts last year. This has allowed me to record my concerts with the best quality audio and soon, I plan to release a Live album & finally debut the live video concert footage on my Youtube Channel. I am sharing a clip with you of "Over the Rainbow" from this concert, which I co-arranged with Tyrone Jackson, the pianist who appears in the video. This link I attached is unlisted. Thanks so much for taking the time to learn about my story. My husband saw the ISINA ad online and told me about this opportunity. I have been a fan of Babyface's music growing up and would love the opportunity to work with him and the other coaches through ISINA to help take my musical journey to the next level.
